The partnership is now more than halfway through its 7-year life. This 4th Annual report highlights the achievements of 2000/2001 and sets out our programme for 2001/2002.

Further work is needed by the partnership to help develop community businesses and other community projects. Projects, which will help to benefit young people, also need to be developed. Funding support can often be made available for viable projects that meet the PORT Scheme aims of: -

  • Involving local people in the decision making process.
  • Improving skill levels and job prospects through training
  • Promoting business and economic development
  • Encouraging tourism development, environmental and access to the river-front improvements

If you have ideas for a project, which will bring benefits to the regeneration of Tilbury, come and work with the community capacity or economic working party. Both groups have regular meetings at the Community Resource Centre.
