Automatic Looms at Adlington.
The
British Bata weaving mill in Adlington, Lancashire is kept fully occupied producing
materials for linings and for outer parts of sports and casual shoes in different
cloths. The scope of weaving was broadened extensively by the installation of
modern automatic weaving looms and automatic winding frames. In addition to
making footwear fabrics the mill also produced fabrics for furnishings, car
linings and mattresses.
